YOGA
The center of the universe is everywhere.
VINYASA
In the practice of Vinyasa, we immerse ourselves in a sequence of asanas where each movement is synchronized with the breath and guided by conscious intention. Each transition into or out of a posture is connected to either an inhalation or exhalation, while the intention—the core behind our practice—propels the movement forward.
The emphasis lies in harmonizing movement with breath, leading us into a state of "meditation in motion." We surrender fully to the practice and its inner flow, quieting the mind to reach stillness within movement.
This approach invites us to move beyond perceiving the world as separate entities, reflecting the fluid nature of existence—always moving, ever-changing. Just as natural events unfold seamlessly, so does our Vinyasa practice. By blending breath and intention into the sequence of changes, we align with the perpetual rhythm of the universe.
YIN
Chinese meridian teachings merge with modern medical and psychological insights: Yin Yoga. It's a gentle practice (which I'm personally very drawn to) that invites surrender and softening. We yield into certain postures and hold them for longer periods of time, allowing us not only to find relaxation and nourishment, but to cultivate a deeper relationship with our bodies, ourselves, and all life that is. It's about slowing down long enough to listen to what is trying to speak to you.
I increasingly bridge the classical with the embodied. By tuning into our senses and intuition, the embodied Yin approach according to Satu Tuomela encourages us to reconnect with our body's natural healing abilities. This practice deepens our understanding of the mind-body connection.
Deep stretching in all layers releases tensions, activates blood circulation, moisturizes the tissues—even at the organ level—and stimulates the energy flow in our meridians. The calmness of the practice helps relax and rewire our nervous system. In a world filled with high-energy moments, it provides a chance to pause, reset, rebalance, and respond authentically as we begin again.
